
Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Heckmondwike.
The incident happened on Darley Street in Heckmondwike on Wednesday 31 January at around 7:30pm.
Two male suspects approached a grey Audi Q5 which was parked on the roadside and contained two women and a young teenager.
They demanded the occupants of the car to get out and tried to drag the young girl from the vehicle. Both males were carrying what are described to be bread knives.
The girl refused to move and they managed to drive off unharmed.
The suspects made off on foot towards Claremont Road.
They are described as two males wearing dark coloured clothing.
