
A woman who was left critical after a collision in Rochdale has now died.
At around 9.30pm on Monday 14 November 2016, police were called to reports of a collision involving a green Peugeot 206 and a wall on Dewhirst Road, Syke.
Emergency services attended and the front seat passenger of the car, named locally as 18-year-old Talaina Hussain, was taken to hospital with major head injuries. She sadly died on Wednesday 16 November 2016.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to get in contact.
Police Constable Dermot Murray of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “I would like to offer my most sincere condolences to the family of the young woman who has now sadly died."
“We have specially trained officers providing them with support at this extremely difficult time as they come to terms with their loss."
“We are still appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to please contact us as we attempt to fully establish the circumstances leading up to the collision.”
